I have been having trouble finding resources for this topic.
One of the best resources for career information is the Occupational Outlook Handbook produced by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. There is an online version of it online at http://www.bls.gov/ooh/. The category you’re interested in is “Nursing Aides, Orderlies, and Attendants” at http://www.bls.gov/ooh/healthcare/nursing-assistants.htm, which includes CNAs. The ‘pay’ and ‘job outlook’ tabs are of particular interest.
For the comparative Indiana data, check out the “31-1012 Nursing Aides, Orderlies, and Attendants” entry on the chart at http://www.bls.gov/oes/2008/may/oes_in.htm#b31-0000 – it will ask you to ‘create a customizable table’ for the Indiana data (http://www.bls.gov/oes/2008/may/oes311012.htm).
You can check out more career information and the relevant databases we subscribe to on our libguide at http://iue.libguides.com/HLHS100.
Let me know if I can be of any help to you.
