I live in Richmond and am wondering if I can use your library. Am I able to check out books? use the computer? What do I need in order to do this?
Yes, Richmond residents can use our library. You need a valid photo ID to get a library card, which we will mail to you. After you have your card, you can check out up to five books at a time, for 30 days.
With your library card you can also check out access to a computer, but you are limited to only two hours on it for any given day. Because we only have two computers that are accessible to the public, these are first-come, first-served. Morrisson-Reeves is better equipped than we are for supplying public computer access.
We do have movies; however, most are geared towards an academic rather than entertainment audience - they check out for 3 days at a time.
The Rose View Transit bus doesn’t come directly to the library, but it does pass by Whitewater Hall on the IU East campus at about the :25 of every hour. The bus runs from 6:15 to 5:45 on weekdays.
